Secondcity’s ‘I Wanna Feel’ has debuted at number one in this week’s UK chart. The dance track is Secondcity’s debut and sold over 82,000 copies in the past week. The track was released through Ministry of Sound and mirrors the success of many other dance tracks that are dominating the UK chart scene.

As a consequence of Secondcity’s first number one, Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ has been knocked down to second-place, with Klingande’s new entry ‘Jubel’ close behind him in third. The new entry comes from a French deep house duo and follows from their first single ‘Punga’.

Ellie Goulding also has a new entry, ‘Beating Heart’, which debuts just in the top 10, taking ninth place. The track is taken from the soundtrack of the film Divergent and follows from Goulding’s previous single, ‘Goodness Gracious’ which was released earlier this year. It also follows hit singles from 2013, such as ‘Burn’ and ‘How Long Will I Love You’.

Mr Probz, Rita Ora, John Legend and Paloma Faith continue their consistent presence in the top 10, placed at chart positions four, five, six and eight, respectively.

Elsewhere in the chart, there are new entries from Twin Atlantic and Lana Del Rey, with the latter’s ‘West Coast’ debuting at 21. The lead single of upcoming album Ultraviolence hasn’t done as commercially well in the UK as previous Del Rey singles such as ‘Video Games’ and ‘Born to Die’ which both reached number nine back in 2011.

In the album chart, Sam Smith follows his single chart success with his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, by storming to number one and knocking Coldplay’s Ghost Stories off top-spot. The new album by Smith features hit singles ‘Money On My Mind’ and ‘Stay With Me’. Paolo Nutini, Paloma Faith and Arctic Monkeys all remain consistent in the top 10.

Outside the top 10, there are new entries by Mariah Carey, Neil Young, Röyksopp and Robyn, Peter Andre, Sharon Van Etten, Bury Tomorrow, Echo & The Bunnymen and Life Worship.
