Veronica Mars movie UK release details announced

Warner Brothers have announced details about the UK distribution of the Veronica Mars Movie. The film, set to be released on 14th March, will screen in a limited number of cinema’s in the UK, and will also be available in digital format on the same day.

The film will screen in these cinemas from 14th of March:  Empire Cinemas – Leicester Square (London), Birmingham and Newcastle, Showcase Cinemas – Dartford (London), Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds and Nottingham and in Ireland at the Movies@Dundrum cinema in Dublin. It will also be available to purchase from a number of online retailers, including iTunes, Google Play, Sky Store, Virgin Media, BT TV, Blinkbox, Xbox Video, and Playstation Store.

The Veronica Mars Movie made history last year, as it became the fastest ever fufiled Kickstarter, making its target of $2 million in less than 1o hours, thanks to fan donations, and will be a continuation of cult hit television show Veronica Mars. The film features many of the cast of the show, including Kristen Bell (now on House of Lies), Jason Dohring (Moonlight and Ringer), Chris Lowell (Enlisted), Enrico Colantoni (Flashpoint) and Tina Majorino (Grey’s Anatomy, Trueblood and Bones).

The Warner Brother’s press release gives a short synopsis of the film: “Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) has put Neptune and her amateur sleuthing days behind her on the eve of graduating law school. While interviewing at high-end law firms, Veronica gets a call from her ex-boyfriend Logan (Jason Dohring) who has been accused of murder. Veronica heads back to Neptune just to help Logan find an attorney, but when things don’t seem right with how Logan’s case is perceived and handled, Veronica finds herself being pulled back into a life she thought she had left behind.”
