I was baffled, when I heard that The Script were collaborating with Will.I.Am, because in my head the two types of music I typically associate with each artist are practically on opposite sides of the spectrum. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the result, named ‘Hall of Fame’. I don’t think that it’ll be an incredible commercial success, and I can’t say that it’s particularly memorable, save for a catchy chorus which has an enjoyable hook.
‘Hall of Fame’ is engaging, and the rap sections of the song include interesting, thought provoking lyrics. I just feel that there is something missing from it – something unquantifiable which makes a good song truly great.
