This week brings with it the grown-up ZAYN after his departure from One Direction, as well as the third studio album from Birdy. Biffy Clyro are set to hit us with their first release since Similarities in 2014, and Mystery Jets share ‘Bubblegum’.

Mind of Mine is the debut solo album from previous One Direction member, who has undergone a saucy rebrand as ZAYN. His first release came in the form of the steamy ‘PILLOWTALK’, which emphasised a ‘grown-up’ Zayn Malik, talking about sex and girls. Out via RCA.

Birdy will release her third studio album, Beautiful Lies this week. It features the single ‘Keeping Your Head Up’, which shows an upbeat departure from the Birdy we associate with her debut ‘Skinny Love’. Hopefully one that will run throughout the album, and take her in a different direction. Out via Warner Music.

Indie trio The Joy Formidable release their third studio album too, titled Hitch. It follows the release of 2013’s Wolf’s Law, and has been headed by lead single ‘The Last Thing on my Mind’ which was released in January. Out via C’mon Let’s Drift.
