A perfect addition to my summer soundtrack.

Hookworms told The Line of Best Fit that they wanted this track to have a ‘race for the finish line’ feel to it, and they have achieved just that. An effervescent melody meanders in and out of a pulsating bassline and frothy keyboards, creating a liberating atmosphere, with the lyrics “I’ve got a reason to love”. The minute long outro is dominated by a shadowy organ and stirs up a cathartic chaos which leaves the album swaggering into a psychedelic sunset.

‘Retreat’, available to stream below, is out now on Weird World.
