The first trailer for the Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle, the sequel of Matthew Vaughn’s 2014 hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service, has been released today.
Soundtracked by Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’, the trailer is packed with guns, fights, explosions, familiar faces (and a number of new ones) and the destruction of the Kingsman headquarters.
Film villain Poppy (Julianne Moore) who was introduced to us briefly in the teaser trailer, along with her lieutenant (Vinnie Jones) are introduced in the new footage, including the American counterparts to Kingsman, an organisation named Statesman.
Among their ranks is agent Tequila (Channing Tatum), with his tech support Ginger (Halle Berry), as well as Jeff Bridges and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones’ Oberyn Martell) in as yet unknown roles. There are also reports that Sir Elton John will make a cameo. It seems that this sequel will surely live up to the spectacular cast of the original, which included Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, and Star Wars’ Mark Hamill.
But among this crowd of new and interesting faces, the trailer sees the return of Eggsy (Taron Egerton), the newest Kingsman agent, along with Merlin (Mark Strong), Roxy (Sophie Cookson), and, somehow, Harry Hart (Colin Firth), who is unveiled at the end of the trailer, shaving, with an eyepatch, after receiving a bullet to the head in the last movie.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is released 29th September 2017. Watch the full trailer below:
