The latest trailer for Marvel’s collaboration with Sony, Spider-Man: Homecoming, dropped today.

The highlight anticipated trailer shows off Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and focuses on a closer look at the relationship with mentor and patron, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).

In the trailer, Tony is heard asking: ‘Can’t you just be a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man?’ before proceeding to show all of the trouble Peter Parker manages to get himself into throughout the film as he goes through a superhero identity crisis claiming that he’s ‘nothing without the suit’, when it is taken from him by Tony.

Michael Keaton’s villainous Vulture also features and his presence in this trailer is much bigger as he threatens Peter’s family and causes havoc, including sinking a cruise liner in a spectacular show of firepower. This villain is one that Peter can’t seem to let go and goes after him even when his Stark-designed Spider-Man suit is taken as he reverts to the poorly constructed suit seen in Captain America: Civil War to take on the Vulture.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming sees Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, and Jon Favreau all reprise their roles with the new additions of Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be swinging into UK and US cinemas on 7th July 2017.
