The main cast roster for the final films in Marvel’s Phase 3 appears to have been leaked online.
After Anthony and Joe Russo had promised a significantly larger cast roster for the two Infinity War films compared to 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, a leaked list on MovieCastingCall.org appears to have confirmed this information.
Alongside the main expected cast of Avengers, Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jnr. (Iron Man/Tony Stark), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany (Vision), some more interesting names have cropped up in this list.
These include the entire main cast of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol II, confirming that Star Lord and co. will eventually cross paths with the Avengers Initiative. Karen Gillian is set to reprise her role as Nebula, but it is currently unknown if she will be fighting alongside her sister Gamora (Zoe Saldana) or her adopted father Thanos (played by Josh Brolin).
Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther/T’Challa is also set to return, and is joined by ex-SHIELD director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Carol Danvers, and her alter ego Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) are also set to debut in Infinity War. Benedict Wong and Cumberbatch are also set to appear as Wong and Dr. Stephen Strange respectively.
The most notable omission from the list in terms of main heroes thus far is Tom Holland’s Spiderman. Although he is set to star in his own solo movie, he recently admitted in an interview that he did not know if he would be needed for Infinity War. It is unknown, however, if this list covers both films, or just Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released the UK, on 27th April, 2018, and in the US on 4th May, 2018, with an untitled sequel arriving in 2019. Check out the Russo brothers discussing the film below:
