Academy Award winner and national treasure Eddie Redmayne is about to get even cuter, and that’s because he’s holding Pudsey Bear! Whilst on the set on Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, the actor has filmed a sketch as his contribution to BBC Children in Need this year.

The annual charity broadcast aired on the BBC each November, is a mammoth of celebrity cameos and sketches, as well as musical performances, and appeal films, all in aid of children in difficult situations across the UK.

The broadcast in years past has always been hosted by Terry Wogan, but in lieu of his death, Graham Norton, Tess Daly and others will step into the mantle of host. As well as this, the cast of Aladdin are set to perform, as are Little Mix, and sketches include a special Junior edition of Would I Lie To You.

Redmayne has said of the opportunity: “I have such fond memories of Children in Need – growing up, I loved watching all the special sketches and performances, and of course, Sir Terry Wogan’s inimitable presenting. It is a charity very close to my heart, so you can only imagine how chuffed I was to be asked to do a special sketch for this year. I can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store.”

This year’s Children in Need Appeal can be seen on BBC One on the 18th November at 7.30pm. Watch a classic performance from 2008 below:
