20th Century Fox have today unveiled the first trailer for Hugh Jackman’s final film as Wolverine, entitled Logan.

The 100 second trailer, soundtracked by Johnny Cash’s cover of Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Hurt’, shows us a much older and more grizzled Wolverine (played by Jackman), in what seems to be the twilight of his hero days. We also get to see a markedly-aged Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) along with new characters including Laura Kinney (Sienna Novikov), Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook) and Caliban (Stephen Merchant).

Helmed by The Wolverine director James Mangold, the film’s official synopsis reads as follows:

“Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.”

Logan will be released here in the UK on 2nd March 2017, before receiving an international roll out the next day. Watch the trailer below:
