Sarah Hadland hints at future Miranda project

Fans of Miranda beware, this news might just have you galloping for joy. The popular BBC sitcom starring the comedian in the eponymous titular role may now be heading to the big screen.

Miranda Hart’s career has been very successful since her hit TV show on BBC One, landing a leading role in Call the Midwife and Spy, where she starred alongside Melissa McCarthy. However it seems she has not quite left Miranda behind, as it has been announced there is a possible movie being worked on.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Sarah Hadland, who played Miranda’s best friend Stevie on the show, hinted that there might be more to come for the much loved show, stating: “I can say there will be something”. While her statement has fans desperately hoping for a film, she could just as easily be referring to a special one off episode, or even a charity sketch for the upcoming Children in Need.

Even if a film is confirmed, with Hart already unable to do the Call the Midwife Christmas special due to her role of the Dew Drop Fairy in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, it seems unlikely anything will be finalised, or even filmed until next year.

Fans will have to wait to hear more details about the future of Miranda as they become available. Check out a trailer for the hit BBC show below:
