The Voice Videogame set to be released

A video-game based on the television singing-contest The Voice, is set to be released later this year.

Just like the actual shows, players will have to go through blind-auditions, battles and live-shows in karaoke competition, to secure the coveted winners spot. The setlist for the game is yet to be revealed, but developer Voxler have confirmed that all songs will include their official music video.

Voxler has over a decade of experience when it comes to karaoke games, meaning that the voice recognition system should provide an accurate and precise judge of player performance. It also appears to be the latest of many attempts to try and break the monopoly of karaoke games, dominated by the Singstar brand.

It is as yet unknown if the game will feature recorded dialogue from judges and presenters of the show, which has moved to ITV for the next series.

The Voice will be released on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Wii U around December 2016. Watch the trailer for the game below:
