Union Films have announced a very special free screening of Disney’s 1998 classic, Mulan.

The University of Southampton’s very own student cinema is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year and with some brand new seats to break in, what better way to commemorate such an epic milestone than a screening of the most kick-ass animation of our childhoods?

The film, which features the vocal talents of Ming-Na Wen, B.D. Wong and Eddie Murphy, follows the story of Mulan – a young headstrong woman who disguises herself as a male soldier and goes to war in place of her frail and elderly Father. Alongside her lucky cricket and a wisecracking dragon called Mushu, Mulan must learn the ways of a soldier and keep her secret hidden.

The screening will take place at 5pm on Sunday 24th April. The event, which you can join on Facebook, is completely free, with no pre-booking required.
