After the recent release of  the second season’s first poster, Netflix have revealed the first footage from Better Call Saul’s much-anticipated return in a new trailer.

The new trailer gives insight into the more familiar Jimmy McGill – who fans of Breaking Bad know as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman – as he begins to take the path towards helping those in need of evading the law by means of somewhat illegal methods. The short trailer also sees his partnership with Mike Ehrmantraut begin to unfold.

A majority of familiar faces will be reprising their roles in the new season, with Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks returing as Jimmy McGill (aka Saul Goodman) and Mike respectively, alongside Michael McKean and Rhea Seehorn as Chuck McGill and Kim Wexler.

Netflix will begin streaming the new series from 16th February, not long after it airs on US cable network AMC. New episodes will be added in the same vein as season one, with new episodes being uploaded on a weekly basis as they air in the US. AMC originally ordered 13 episodes for the second series, but ultimately ended up with ten.

The first season of Better Call Saul was met with critical acclaim, winning four awards and six nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards earlier this year.
