The first official clip from the upcoming galactic adventure, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released.
Though shots of the sequence have already been glimpsed in trailers, viewers can now get a wider shot and a clearer understanding of the events unfolding.
The 15-second teaser sees Daisy Ridley’s Rey and John Boyega’s Finn sprinting across the sands of Jakku, dodging attacking TIE fighters, while BB-8 desperately rolls along behind them. They attempt to escape; but seem to now find themselves in need of a ship, and a pilot. Could this perhaps lay the foundation of their interaction with the franchise’s iconic returning hero, Han Solo?
A new promotional trailer, containing a few more seconds of new footage, also premiered at the American Music Awards yesterday, (Sunday 22nd November).
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released in the UK on 17th December. Watch the clip below.
