Las Vegas rockers, Imagine Dragons have unveiled a brand new song entitled ‘Roots’.

The release of the single comes after the group cryptically changed the pictures on all of their social media platforms to a black background with the caption “My Roots.” The song made it’s official debut on LA radio station, KROQ-FM, on Wednesday (26th August).
The band’s frontman, Dan Reynolds said that the new track is “dedicated to the support we’ve received from our massive fanbase.” In conjunction with that statement, the group shared a collage on twitter which depicts several images of the band members when they were younger, as well as pictures submitted by fans.
The arrival of this single has come as something of a surprise, considering that the band’s last album, Smoke + Mirrors, was only just released in February, this year.
The band are set to tour the UK in November, visiting venues in London, Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Dublin. You can listen to ‘Roots’ in the video, below.
