Charles Haddon, frontman of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, tragically took his own life after performing to 50,000 people at Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium, five years ago today.

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool were a Camden-based four piece whose debut, ‘Dance The Way I Feel’, emerged in 2009 before the band supported La Roux on her tour. Following his death, Haddon’s band members arranged Chazzstock – a festival named in his honour, and held at KOKO in Camden. A stream of artists performed, including The Kooks, The Horrors, and Mr Hudson.

Recognising that suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 25-40, the event raised over £8,000 for charities Mind and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). CALM is fronted by patron Professor Green, and supported by Lynx, Topman and more.

To celebrate the life of the man regarded as a “warm conversationalist, possessing genuine charm”, you can now hear two never-before-heard tracks by Ou Est Le Swimming Pool- ‘A to Z’ and ‘Key’.

Listen to the previously unreleased ‘The Key’, below.
