Rockers Slaves, who recently appeared in THE LIST, are set to appear, as are Southampton locals Band of Skulls, who spoke out about their appearance saying: “We are extremely happy and proud to be playing Common People festival. We grew up here in Southampton and the common has played a big part in our lives.”

Rob da Bank, the brains behind the new Southampton festival said: ‘It’s been a long time coming to launch a new show from the Bestival family. We thought long and hard before deciding to base our new show in Southampton… I played my first ever DJ gig in Southampton when I was 16, so this is a real home coming for me.”
