It has been announced that both Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis are to star in the upcoming TV series, Scream Queens.

The comedy-horror is to be made by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. The first instalment of the anthology series will consist of 15 episodes and look at a college campus which is disturbed by a series of murders.

As well as being behind Glee, Ryan Murphy is also the creator of American Horror Story, which is currently airing its fourth season, entitled Freak Show. Roberts has always been a key contender for the upcoming Scream Queens because of her participation in Murphy’s American Horror Story, where she has played significant roles in both Coven and its latest instalment.

The news of Jamie Lee Curtis fits with Murphy’s trend of taking exquisite actresses of a certain age and placing them in a TV role with complex roots, such as the likes of Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates.

The series will premiere in the Autumn of 2015.
