American DJ duo The Chainsmokers will be performing in the UK five times this February. Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall mix indie, dance, and pop into record-breaking hits. The group was formed 5 years ago in New York City. They released their début EP ‘Bouquet’ in 2015, featuring their single “Roses” which hit number one on the Top Dance Songs chart and was certified double-platinum. In collaboration with pop singer Dana, the released platinum-certified single “Don’t Let Me Down” in 2016. However, their next single “Closer” (first number-one single) brought them to a new level. It remained at the top of charts for over ten weeks, breaking the record held by, one of their favorite artists, Drake’s “One Dance”. They have been nominated for three Grammys in 2017, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo Performance for “Closer”.
On the 30th of December they premiered “Paris”, their first single of 2017. 22,000 people filled the Los Angeles Convention Center in a sold out performance that closed probably one of the biggest years of their career. In this new single Andrew Taggart as lead vocalist duets with Emily Warren. It comes with a new lyric video filmed on the coasts of Mexico featuring Instagram star Alexis Ren. It is going to be hard to beat their performance over the last two years, but they have started strong and you should expect another year with great tunes and many sold-out concerts.
