Bestival have announced that this year’s festival will have a ‘Dessert Island Disco’ theme. The festival will run from September 4th-7th. Bestival have declared it is their ‘best theme yet’ saying: ‘This. Is. The. Dawn. Of. Disco. A new religion, a new way of life, a new way to dance until sunrise.’ More exciting news came out this morning as they announced the first headline act to be the one and only Outkast. Here is what Rod Da Bank had to say about the theme and the first act announced:
“Hey ya! By the power invested in me as chief Bestival booker, I’m pretty darn excited to announce that OutKast are headlining Bestival this year! We’ve fought hard to get the recently reunited legendary hip-hop duo onto the ferry… and it’s no ordinary ferry this year as Bestival goes Desert Island Disco for 2014… Palm trees, grass skirts and mirrorballs are the order of the day. It truly is gonna be the Bestival yet!”
