This new film from Cristian Mungiu was awarded both the Best Female Actor and Best Screenplay awards at Cannes 2012 for its depiction of a real life tragedy that unfolded in a small religious community in Romania.

Two friends who grew up together in an orphanage are reunited after years apart. One has taken orders while the other wants them to both relocate to a new life in Germany. However, their relationship and sexuality gradually tears apart the tight-knit fabric of the sect, resulting in a terrifying act that would send a shockwave through the church.

To celebrate the release of Beyond the Hills, The Edge has teamed up with Artificial Eye to offer three lucky readers a copy of the film on Blu-ray.
