How to set up the perfect Netflix marathon

0

If you could have the perfect Netflix marathon, what would it be? I know what I would want on mine – obviously it’s something I spend a lot of time thinking about. As a lover of Netflix, TV and all things entertainment, with a serious House and Breaking Bad obsession, there are some pretty vital things I need for it to be perfect. After all, if you’re watching for so long that Netflix asks if you’re still there… you’re gonna need some tea eventually.

The first and most important thing is who you’ll marathon with. Maybe you’ll do it alone, and in that case, you’re sorted! But if you’re watching it with someone else, there are so many things to consider. Film or series? Do they want horror? A romcom? Nollywood? There’s nothing worse than clashing on what kind of thing to watch before you’ve even started watching. Luckily, my favourite Netflix partner and I  both prefer Rick and Morty and, currently, Breaking Bad. The other thing to consider is what kind of person you’re watching it with and the mood – are they a bro, a friend, a significant other? Are you sitting on opposite ends of the bed or cuddling under piles of blankets?

Secondly, a kettle/tea making supplies – or even better, someone who’s going to make you tea. Or some kind of beverage – hot drinks just make it so much cosier and more relaxing. Along with this obviously goes food. Perhaps you’ll order inordinate amounts of Chinese food? Or you’ll have a load of popcorn? Or popcorn on Chinese food? The possibilities are endless.

Finally, how will you set up your marathon? Possibly the most incredible sight I’ve ever seen was when the guy I’m dating invited me over after a stressful day to watch Breaking Bad and had set up the couch with blankets, pillows, tea and toast. I think I teared up when I saw it. Think comfy clothes, soft pillows, maybe light some candles…

And there you have it! Everything you (well, I) would set up the perfect Netflix marathon!
