Preview: The Full Monty at Bournemouth Pavilion

The Full Monty, one of the hottest theatre productions of the last decade, is returning to the stage as it launches its 2016 tour in Bournemouth later this year.

Based on the 1997 film of the same name, the premise of the show is simple: six unemployed guys, down on their luck, decide to become an act in a local strip club to get some money. The show then follows the trials, tribulations, anxieties and fears of the six guys as they work together to prepare for the show, and get ready to bear all.

The new tour boasts a mega cast, led by Gary Lucy (famous for his role as Danny Pennant in Eastenders). He’ll be joined by the likes of Joe Absolom (Wild At Heart) and Chris Fountain (Les Miserables and Oliver) as they get their kit off for the entertainment of thousands. It also boasts a stellar array of musical numbers, ranging from ‘Hot Stuff’, ‘You Sexy Thing’ and ‘You Can Leave Your Hat On’ (you can see an emerging theme!).  The previous 2015 tour received rave reviews, with the Guardian calling it a “total blast” and the Metro deeming it a “full-frontal feel good show.” It’s set to be an excellent show where clothes, by the end, will most certainly be optional (well, for the actors anyway!)

The Full Monty is showing at Bournemouth Pavilion from 21st to 24th September. You can book tickets here now.
