It has been revealed that Jennifer Lee will adapt A Wrinkle in Time for Disney.

A Wrinkle in Time in its original form is a children’s book penned by Madeleine L’Engle. It tells the tale of a young girl, Meg, whose father is a government scientist and goes missing after developing tesseract; a cryptic project. Along with her three brothers, Meg travels through time to find her father.

Along with A Wrinkle in Time, there are also several other books in Madeleine L’Engle’s series, including A Wind in the Door and A Swiftly Tilting Planet.

Jennifer Lee’s previous work consists of 2013’s hit film Frozen, where she wrote the screenplay whilst also co-directing the picture. The film has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time. Lee also co-wrote 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph.

Catherine Hand and Jim Whitaker are to produce the picture, but a director is yet to be revealed for the upcoming project.
