Now in it’s fifth year, Wilderness is returning to the beautiful countryside of Oxfordshire. As one of the newer additions on the UK festival scene, Wilderness has well and truly established itself as a huge player. With a fantastically varied line-up year on year, this is a festival that goes on beyond just music and spans the whole spectrum of arts and culture: with theatre, art, food and much more.

This year the musical line-up tops any previous year, with the legendary Björk headlining the Saturday. With her eighth album, Vulnicura, released in January this is one of her only UK festival dates so not a show to be missed. Ben Howard is the second headline act, and mercury nominated Nick Mulvey will also be appearing during the weekend. There’s also a big focus on brilliant new music, with Ásgeir, Shamir and Låpsley, amongst others all performing.

With a huge focus on gastronomy alongside the brilliant music and arts, this year there will be appearances from super star chefs Raymond Blanc, Angela Hartnett and Nuno Mendes amongst others, all of who will be cooking up a feast for the punters.

With Ronnie Scott’s hosting one of the evenings in the ballroom, Opera Holland Park’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, theatre from a host of theatrical groups, talks and debates presented by Secret Forum, wild swimming, yoga and meditation and fancy dress parades, there’s so much to do asides from music, which makes this the perfect festival if you want something a bit different.

For one of the music unique festivals on the UK scene, make sure you head to the gorgeous Oxford countryside for this year’s Wilderness Festival.

Wilderness Festival takes place from the 6th to the 9th of August 2015 at Cornbury Park, Oxford. Tickets are available now.
