This week’s round-up sees a brand new single from Paloma Faith which features on the upcoming repackaged version of her commercially successful album, A Perfect Contradiction. Elsewhere, Foo Fighters release their eighth studio album this week, consisting of eight tracks, each recorded in a different US city. Cheryl also returns this week with a new album that features the number one single, ‘Crazy Stupid Love’, as well as the new single, ‘I Don’t Care’, which looks to be a contender to top the singles chart this weekend. Paloma Faith – ‘Ready for the Good Life’

11496-paloma_faith_ready_for_the_good_lifePaloma Faith’s new single, ‘Ready for the Good Life’ is taken from the upcoming album, A Perfect Contradiction: Outsiders’ Edition, a repackaged version of Faith’s original third studio album which was released earlier this year in March. All of the singer-songwriter’s albums thus far have enter the UK top ten, with the latter two peaking at number two. Faith has also released hit singles ‘Picking Up the Pieces’, ‘Can’t Rely On You’ and ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’, the latter reaching number one in Australia. Foo Fighters – Sonic Highways

Foo_Fighters_8LP_Sonic_HighwaysAmerican rock band Foo Fighters will be releasing their eighth studio album this week. Sonic Highways is a companion album to Dave Grohl-directed HBO television series Foo Fighters Sonic Highways, and features eight songs each recorded in a different US city. So far the album has spawned three singles, the first being ‘Something From Nothing’ which peaked at number one in the US. The band have recently announced that they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with a headline show at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC next year. Their upcoming album will be available to purchase 11th November.

Cheryl – Only Human

Cheryl_-_Only_Human_(Official_Album_Cover)Following a year long hiatus, Cheryl will be releasing her fourth studio album this week, her second release under her mononymous stage name. The singer’s previous albums were pop successes in the UK, with her first two LPs peaking at number one in the album chart, and the last album A Million Lights reaching second place. With the success of Only Human‘s lead single ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ which features Tinie Tempah, Cheryl’s follow-up single ‘I Don’t Care’ is bound to be another chart hit. Only Human is available to pre-order now on iTunes, and will be officially released 10th November.
