Foo Fighters to headline concert to celebrate 20th anniversary

2015 will mark 20 years of Foo Fighters, and with it will come an anniversary concert.

The band have announced that they will be headlining a concert at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC on 4th July 2015. Foo Fighters will be joined by other legends throughout the concert, including the likes of Joan Jett and Gary Clark, Jr. who have recently worked on the band’s album, Sonic Highways.

20 years have seen the rock band through seven studio albums, beginning with their self-titled debut release in 1995, and have sold 11 million albums worldwide. Their eighth album, Sonic Highways, is now teetering on the brink of release and will be available from this Monday (10th November).

The concert will be a celebration of 20 years of outstanding music that has been led by frontman Dave Grohl, and will no doubt be a credit to the band and rock music itself. Hopefully UK fans need not be too disheartened at the setting of the concert, as Dave Grohl has admitted to wanting to headline Glastonbury Festival next year too.
