Foo Fighters series Sonic Highways to air on BBC4

The accompaniment to Foo Fighters’ eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, is a documentary series following the inner workings of the album. Dave Grohl has dubbed the album their most ambitious yet.

The series, originally aired on America’s HBO, documents the making of the album. Made up of eight tracks, recorded in eight different cities in America, the series will also feature the likes of Slash, Dolly Parton and Joan Jett, to name a few.

The series will showcase behind the scenes interviews with the legends that the album pays homage to, and even has input from President Barack Obama.

Sonic Highways is made up of eight episodes, one for each city the album was recorded in.

The series will kick off in Washington DC on BBC4 at 10pm on Sunday 26th October with the second following directly afterwards at 11pm. Watch the trailer below.
