Chart round-up: 'Changing' goes to number one

Sigma have achieved their second UK number one with track ‘Changing’. The song, which features Paloma Faith, is a follow-up to the drum and bass duo’s other number one, ‘Nobody to Love’. It also marks Faith’s first UK number one, after her singles such as ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ and ‘Picking Up the Pieces’ have reached the top ten but have never taken the crown.

As a result of Sigma and Faith’s victory, Calvin Harris drops to second place, with Lilly Wood and Robin Schulz in third. In fourth position is Professor Green with his new entry ‘Lullaby’, featuring Tori Kelly with Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ in fifth place. The rest of the top ten consists of Sam Smith, The Script, George Ezra, MAGIC! and Iggy Azalea.

In the album chart, The Script have achieved their third UK number one with their fourth studio album, No Sound Without Silence. The album features the lead single ‘Superheroes’ which recently entered the UK’s top five and serves as a follow-up to #3, released back in 2012.

Barbra Streisand enters the album chart in second place with her album Partners, with Chris Brown, Slash, Train and Catfish and the Bottlemen all entering this week’s album chart’s top ten. The rest of the prestigious top quarter contains Sam Smith, George Ezra, Royal Blood and Ed Sheeran.

Other new entries elsewhere in the album chart include Vance Joy and Counting Crows.
