La Roux has unveiled the video that accompanies her latest single, ‘Kiss And Not Tell’.

The video has a retro aesthetic, drawing inspiration from 1980s adult chat lines. La Roux’s iconic quiff maintains the sophisticated tone that the synthpop artist arrived back on the music scene with after a five year hiatus, contributed by vibrant telephones and the visual ‘sci-fi disco’ that has characterised La Roux’s latest album, Trouble in Paradise.

La Roux first gained public attention back in 2009, as a duo, with their début self-titled album that spawned the hit singles ‘In for the Kill’ and ‘Bulletproof’. After this, the duo vanished, until Elly Jackson returned in early 2014 with a maturer sound, look and, most notably, without her musical partner.

So far, La Roux has released ‘Uptight Downtown’ as the lead single from the album, with ‘Kiss And Not Tell’ being its follow-up. With regard to the album itself, upon its release, Trouble in Paradise peaked at a respectable six, securing a place in the top ten.
