Disney to release short follow-up film to Frozen

Disney has announced that a short animated follow-up film to Oscar-winning Frozen, will premiere in 2015.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are set to return to direct Frozen Fever, bringing back the well-loved characters Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf.

A plot description for the short film reads: “It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.”

The film will also feature a brand new song from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the Oscar-winning duo who brought us the iconic ‘Let It Go’.

The announcement was first made within an ABC Television Special about the making of Frozen, entitled ‘The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic”.

Frozen Fever is set to premiere in spring 2015.
