The sequel to 2011’s The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, suitably entitled The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, has received the UK release date of 27th February 2015.
The iconic cast of the first comedy-drama are returning for the sequel, including the likes of Judi Dench, Bill Nighy and Maggie Smith. As well as this, the upcoming film is to welcome news faces, including Tamsin Greig and Richard Gere.
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel sees the growing popularity of Sonny’s (Dev Patel) first venture, with only one vacancy in the hotel available. As a result, Sonny has his eye on a promising property to expand his business. The comedic relations of the rest of the cast happens alongside Sonny’s business aspirations, including Norman and Carol (Ronald Pickup and Diana Hardcastle) attempting to navigate an exclusive relationship, as well as Madge (Celia Imrie) juggling two wealthy suitors.
