The trailer for the upcoming British film, Pride, has been revealed online.

The film follows LGBT activists who decide to raise money and awareness for those affected by the miners’ strike back in the 1980s. The film sees their struggle in their activism due to the National Union of Miners desire for disassociation with the LGBT community in order not to ‘harm’ their image. This results in the LGBT activists to focus purely on a rather small community situated in Wales.

Based on true events, the film is a light-hearted depiction of sincere events and stars the likes of Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton.

The film has also released its first poster, which can be above.

Watch the trailer for the upcoming 2014 film, Pride, with a release date of 14th September.
