CD Project Red has today announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on February 24th 2015.

The announcement was made at their live stream event earlier today, in which the Polish developer revealed that the all versions of the game; Xbox One, PS4 and PC, will be released simultaneously. Along with this announcement, CD Project Red also showed off both the standard and collectors’ editions of the game. The standard will contain the disc, the manual, a companion book detailing the universe’s back-story, the game’s world map, the game’s soundtrack and some stickers. The collectors’ edition will have everything the standard edition holds, as well as a hand-painted statue of the game’s protagonist Geralt, a hardback game-art book, a wolf medallion and a steel game case. The digital copy will contain a digital art collection, soundtrack and digital game map.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the hotly anticipated sequel to the 2011 sleeper hit, The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings, which was praised for its no-nonsense third-person combat system and complex and engrossing story-line. The game will be the third in the trilogy that follows the character of Geralt of Rivia, one of the last-remaining monster-slaying Witchers. The trilogy is based on the extremely successful dark-fantasy series The Witcher, by author Andrzej Sapkowski.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is developed by CD Project Red and will be published by Bandai Namco Games on 25th February 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
