La Roux has unveiled her new single, entitled ‘Uptight Downtown’. This follows the promotional single ‘Let Me Down Gently’. The song was premiered this evening on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show as his ‘hottest record’.
The single is taken from upcoming second studio album, Trouble in Paradise. The album follows a five-year hiatus after the release of debut self-titled album in 2009, which reached number two in the UK charts.
La Roux has also recently revealed the video for ‘Let Me Down Gently’, which features Elly Jackson sporting a slightly toned-down version of her iconic look but maintaining her trademark synthpop vocals.
