Maroon 5 announce new album

Maroon 5 have announced their upcoming fifth studio album, which is to be entitled V. The album is to follow a single which is to be released in the upcoming months.

was recorded in Los Angeles over the past year, and its producers include Max Martin and Ryan Tedder, lead vocalist from OneRepublic.

To coincide with the release of the album, Maroon 5 have signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation. The tour dates will be released in the upcoming weeks.

is a follow-up from the Grammy-nominated Overexposed, which failed to reach top-spot in the UK and US charts, but secured second-place. Unlike Overexposed, Jesse Carmichael – the band’s keyboardist – features on the album, after taking a break during the Overexposed era back in 2012.

Maroon 5’s new album is to be released on 2nd September this year.
