Ed Sheeran for October 2014 UK tour

Ed Sheeran has announced plans to embark on a UK stadium tour later this year.

The singer will perform 11 dates around the UK in support of his second album which is due to be released later this year.

Beginning in Belfast on 8th October, the tour will see Sheeran play in Leeds, before a two night run at London’s O2 Arena. He will also perform at Birmingham’s LG Arena, Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena, Newcastle Arena and Manchester’s Phones 4U Arena before finishing the tour at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow on 30th October.

13th – London, O2 Arena
19th – Birmingham, LG Arena
20th – Birmingham, LG Arena
23rd – Nottingham, Capital FM Arena
25th – Newcastle, Newcastle Arena
27th – Manchester, Phones 4U Arena
28th – Manchester, Phones 4U Arena
30th – Glasgow, The SSE Hydro

On Friday the singer tweeted that he is “so excited” to release his new album, which will follow up his 2011 debut +.

In November, Sheeran debuted two new tracks called ‘New York’ and ‘So In Love’ when performing in New York’s Madison Square Garden. New track ‘I See Fire’ was recently featured in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 9am on Friday 10th January.
