Junk have announced that the club will undergo a major rebrand in January, which will include the name changing to TRiPP.

Having been announced as Britain’s Best Small Club last night at the DJ Mag Best of British awards, the Bedford Place venue has announced the end of the club as it is currently known.

A statement issued on the Junk Facebook page said: “Having listened to what our loyal customers have to say, we have now comprised a concept that will be more affordable, more musically diverse and inevitably more exciting.

“Junk’s exit marks the beginning of a new concept, a new dynamic. There is no pretend refurb or makeover – what remains is the same sound and same production that put Junk at the forefront of the South Coast, yet it’s new identity, TRiPP will boast an even more refined accessibility with new residencies and brands.”

It has also been announced that the venue’s external events brand Junk Department will continue to host nights in TRiPP, “with the capability to bring even bigger line-ups to the club“.

The final Junk event will take place on the 18th January 2014, featuring Jackmaster, Spencer and Will Saul. TRiPP’s first events will be announced on 6th January 2014.
