Several celebrities were spotted on Highfield campus earlier this week as they filmed clips for a new television show.

Simon Cowell’s ex Sinitta, TOWIE girl Amy Childs, cricketer Darren Gough, and television presenter Melinda Messenger were amongst some of the stars who were on campus last Thursday, using the University of Southampton’s wind tunnels to film clips for the show.

The Jump will see stars battling it out at various winter sports including bobsleigh, ski jump and skeleton. Broadcast across 9 consecutive nights on Channel 4, it will be presented by Davina McCall.

Other celebrities taking part in the show who are also believed to have made a visit to campus include Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave, socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, comedian Marcus Brigstocke, broadcaster Anthea Turner and celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke. Completing the line up is party promoter Henry Conway, Sam Jones AKA Flash Gordon, and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.

The wind tunnels at the university have been used in several television shows, including coverage of the 2012 London Olympics.

The Jump will air on Channel 4 in January.
