University of Southampton graduate Chris Stark has bagged himself a television show on Channel 4.

The programme will revolve around his efforts to try and create a mobile chat show. The advert for the show sees Stark pulling in favours in an attempt to interview celebrities including Rachel Stevens and Daniel Radcliffe.

The advert for the one-hour documentary also shows Stark interviewing the medium Derek Acorah in a garden, and comparing him to “the nearest thing the world’s got to a wizard.”

Commissioning Editor at Channel 4, Emma Cooper said: “I am really excited to be working with Chris who I think has a unique ability to get close to celebrity in a way that surprises and engages the audience and generates new insights about them as people rather than ‘stars’.”

Stark attracted international attention in March following an awkward interview with American actress Mila Kunis which has amassed over 12 million views.

The 26-year-old officially joined BBC Radio One in April 2012 when he began co-presenting the Scott Mills show, having contributed to the show for several months beforehand. Stark has become synonymous with the features Innuendo Bingo and 24 Years at the Tap End, where he recalls tales from his life.

The programme is expected to air later this year.
