Mura Masa revitalises 'Lovesick Fuck' with the help of A$AP Rocky for a mellower vibe.

Mura Masa, the British-born producer who rose to success after songs like ‘Firefly,’ returns with a new version of ‘Lovesick Fuck,’ one of the instrumentals from 2015’s Someday Somewhere EP that helped him rise to his current level of success, with a feature from new generation hip-hop great A$AP Rocky. ‘Love$ick’ may give off a different vibe to the original, through the mellow sound from A$AP’s verses shift the mood of the song from that of a dance track to more of a refined wintery tune. To fans of Mura Masa and lovers of the original it may take some getting used to, but this song is a type that will grow on a listener and may eventually make them an A$AP fan.

For those encountering it as fans of Rocky and his mob, then this can be a perfect introduction to Mura Masa, whose beats and style are individual and have continued to improve and evolve as the 20-year-old grows. Following a spot on our ones-to-watch list back in January, Mura Masa has since completed a sold-out tour of the UK and is now taking the show across the continent. Presenting the best mixture of British beats and American rap in 2016, ‘Love$ick’ could be the beginning of something far bigger.
