A very solid house/EDM track that shows a lot of potential. Just a few tweaks here and there and this track could be huge.

Northern Irish actor and DJ Kristian Nairn has recently released the B-side to his debut single ‘Up/Beacon (feat. Leanne Robinson)’. Nairn is best known for portraying Hodor in HBO’s Game of Thrones, but he has also started to establish himself as a professional DJ and hopes to release a lot more music over the coming months.

‘Beacon’ is a solid house/EDM track, and would most certainly not feel out of place right now over in Ibiza. It is a track that needs to be listened to through professional or high quality speakers or headphones in order to get its full effect, but even without you can easily hear the potential. Personally, I feel there needs to be a bit more bass, particularly in the parts where the track really does take off and get into it’s full swing, as I feel it would just take the intensity and quality of ‘Beacon’ to a whole new level.

This single really shows Nairn’s potential. With a bit of extra work and bit of tweaking I can imagine this track being huge in clubs across Europe. It will be particularly exciting to see what he does release over the coming months as I feel he can only get better.

‘Beacon’ is out now via Radikal Records.
