Not the same instant-hit feel as the previous singles from the album, but still a feel-good song none-the-less

Music icon Calvin Harris is back with another catchy chart hit, this time collaborating with American pop band Haim. The three Haim sisters, with a highest UK chart placement of 16 with ‘The Wire’, have really broken through in the last couple of years, starting with topping the BBC Sound of 2013 (beating the likes of Kodaline, Tom Odell and Chvrches to this widely recognised honour).

‘Pray to God’, the latest single to be released from Harris’ fourth studio album Motion, encompasses all that has been great about the Scotsman’s music over the last few years, combining a melodic hook and memorable vocals with aplomb. Being a previous BBC Radio 1 Track Of The Day has given the tune even more airplay and will ultimately lead to a high chart place once it’s released.

In summary, another high quality song from Harris and will ultimately be successful, however it’s not as good as ‘Blame’ or ‘Outside’ from Motion.

‘Pray to God’ is set to be released on the 9th March via Columbia Records.
