From the soundtrack to Amy Winehouse’s biopic, Amy, the sixth studio album from Skindred and sugar-coated pop from Ariana Grande, this week has a lot in store for listeners. Read our best picks of this week’s releases, below.

The soundtrack to Amy Winehouse’s biopic, Amy, will be released this week. After the negative feelings caused by the film itself (leading to Winehouse’s father’s plans to make his own film), the album will showcase everything fans love about the late singer: with alternative versions of some of her best songs, as well as rare live sessions. Out via Island.

Kill The One You Love is the debut album from DC duo GEMS. Combining wistful vocals and slick electronic work, the album builds on their previous repertoire that features their 2013 EP Medusa, but with added zeal and aggression. Out via Carpark Records.

Welsh metal outfit Skindred bring their sixth studio album, Volume. Headed by the release of ‘Under Attack’, the album was recorded at Strongroom studio in London and is produced by James ‘Lerock’ Loughrey, of Depeche Mode and Manic Street Preachers fame. Out via Napalm Records.

Ariana Grande’s ‘Focus’ is already hotly anticipated, since the star has been relentlessly teasing the track on all forms of social media. The video teaser revealed an upbeat brass introduction channelling a similar sound to last year’s single ‘Problem’, and a brand new platinum blonde hairdo. Out via Republic.

After her hit singleDo it Again‘, Pia Mia will be releasing ‘Touch’ this Friday. Pia Mia’s recent photoshoot with Terry Richardson put spotlight on the singer in anticipation of the new track. Aside from this, it seems her friendship with the Kardashians is promotion enough. Out Via Interscope.

Pushed to fame by Taylor Swift on twitter, London based and Aussie singer/songwriter, Emmi, is set to release new track ’60 minutes’. This electro pop track has cinematic ambience and an edgy urban beat. Her identifiable voice and original sound could mean huge success. Out Via Emmi Music.
