High-calibre

'Omen' combines the funky, original Disclosure sound with Sam Smith's upbeat dance side to produce a high-calibre summer track.

Their previous collaboration, ‘Latch’, catapulted Disclosure and Sam Smith toward their recent successes, and although ‘Omen’ is no different in terms of that high quality chemistry between the two, it has a very different core sound and tempo.

This single has a less mainstream vibe, going back to Disclosure’s house-genre roots, and with Sam Smith back in the upbeat dance-pop genre where he personally belongs, the eerie and almost unnerving hook of ‘Omen’ is a definite winner.

‘Omen’ brilliantly combines the funky, original Disclosure sound with Sam Smith’s upbeat dance side for a high-calibre summer track that prefigures the release of the Lawrence brothers’ second album, Caracal.

‘Omen’ is out now via Island.
