With the emergence of New Music Friday last week, all of this week’s releases will drop on Friday 17th July. Friday will bring the release of Tame Impala’s third studio album, Currents, and the eighth album from electronic duo The Chemical Brothers. On the singles side, we have soul legend Stevie Wonder team up with Snoop Dogg, and new music from Disclosure.

Born In The Echoes is the first album to be released by The Chemical Brothers in five years, and their eighth studio effort. Featuring guest vocals from Beck, St Vincent and Cate Le Bon, the album promises to make the modern EDM scene seem sugar-coated. Out Friday 17th July via Virgin EMI.

Tame Impala’s third studio album is Currents. Its release has been headed by the release of four tracks: ‘Let It Happen’, ‘Cause I’m A Man’, ‘Disciples’ and ‘Eventually’, each showing a progression from the isolation of 2012’s Lonerism. Frontman Kevin Parker has expressed that the album will be able to find a place on dance floors. Out Friday 17th July via Interscope Records.

MS MR return this week with How Does It Feel, their follow up to 2013’s Secondhand Rapture. Headed by the release of ‘Painted’, the album shows a stark difference to the dark and sombre tone of the duo’s debut. If the singles are anything to go by, How Does It Feel will be packed full of disco vibes and incredible vocals. Out Friday 17th July via RCA Records.

‘California Roll’ is the third track to spring from Snoop Dogg’s latest album, BUSH. The track features soul legend Stevie Wonder and the uncredited Pharrell Williams who opens the track with “girl you could be a movie star”. The track echoes the soul vibes found on BUSH, making a chilled out track. Out Friday 17th July via Columbia Records.

Disclosure’s follow up to ‘Bang That’ is ‘Holding On’. The track features the silky smooth vocals from jazz singer Gregory Porter, maintaining the siblings’ talents for mastering a balance between their exciting beats and other’s vocal talents. ‘Holding On’ will feature on their upcoming album, Caracal. Out Friday 17th July via PMR/Island.

John Newman’s latest offering is ‘Come and Get it’. It’s the lead single from Newman’s second studio album, the name of which is yet to be announced. The track sees a crossover between Newman’s soulful vocals and a catchy-pop tune with memorable lyrics. Out Friday 17th July via Island.
