Adele has fueled speculation over a new album with a cryptic tweet on the eve of her 26th birthday.
The multi-million selling singer’s previous two albums have been named 19 and 21, and were written about events which took place at that age in her life.
The tweet therefore suggests that her third studio album will be called 25, and feature songs about the past year, in which she has raised her child Angelo (aged 17 months) with partner Simon Konecki.
The message which was tweeted to her 20 million followers yesterday evening follows the confirmation in February at the Grammy Awards that she was in the early stages of an album due in 2014.

Adele hasn’t released any new music since she sang the title track for James Bond film Skyfall in 2012.
In December, Adele was awarded an MBE by Prince Charles at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace for services to music, as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
