The Grand Tour, Have I Got News For You and ex-Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is set to replace iconic game-show host Chris Tarrant for a special return of the classic quiz, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?.

Clarkson will return to host a week of shows to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show, which previous host Tarrant accused of having “run its course” in 2014, when he announced his personal retirement from hosting the programme.

Clarkson was evidently excited about the news, tweeting: “Can’t wait to get cracking with Millionaire. Always loved that show.” He followed up by stating, “I have always loved the show and am thrilled to be involved with the rebirth.”

The famous show pits contestants against a series of fifteen questions, increasing in difficulty as they make their way up the money ladder towards the elusive million. A number of lifelines such as Phone a Friend, 50:50 or Ask The Audience were staples of the classic show, but ITV have promised new twists and turns for the rebirth.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? will return this Spring. Check out the first time someone won the million below:
