Nintendo has revealed that they will be releasing an upgraded version of the Nintendo 2DS.
Dubbed the New Nintendo 2DS XL, the handheld will be available in the U.K on July 28th.
Originally released in 2013, the Nintendo 2DS was advertised as a budget version of the popular 3DS console. While it didn’t feature the system’s famous stereoscopic 3D, the 2DS could play every game from the console’s huge library. The new handheld is fairly similar to the original, but will feature a much larger screen and the ability to use Nintendo’s Amiibo figures.
The console will be released alongside a handful of new 3DS games, including Miitopia and a new entry in the Pikmin series.
